Gabriel Marian - visual artist

Gabriel Marian lives in Cluj-Napoca and is a member of the new contemporary art hub in Cluj, The Center of Interest, since 2016. For five years (2011-2016) he was one of the resident artists of the Paintbrush Factory, Cluj - "Fabrica de Pensule". 
He graduated in 2011 with a Master's degree in painting from UAD, and in 2022 with a PhD in visual arts from the same university. He has exhibited in Berlin (2021, with other artists from Cluj), Strasbourg (2019 - solo show), Turin and Paris (2015/2013- group exhibitions) and in other galleries in Romania. His work appears, among other artists, in the Benetton collection of contemporary art: Imago Mundi : Romanian artists (2014) and in the album published the same year in Treviso.
His works were also displayed at the 'Budapest Art Market' (Hungary, 2020), 'Thessaloniki Art Fair’ (Greece, 2018), at the 'Art Safari' international fair  (Bucharest, 2015), and appeared in various group shows :  the ‘Mostra colettiva d’arte contemporranea’, Turin (2015),  the "V.I.C." art show in Paris, France (Atelier Z, 2013),  'Culorile Echinoxului' show at the Art Museum in Cluj-Napoca (2008) and  the 'Salon des Dépendants' - a group exhibition at Fondation des États-Unis, Paris (2004).
He has enjoyed solo exhibitions at : Association Parlementaire Européenne, Strasbourg, (2019), IAGA Art Gallery, Cluj (2018), Institut Français, Cluj (2018), Atelier 4, Cluj (2016), Galeria Diverta Cluj (2013), Galeria Nano, Cluj (2013), Casa Artelor, Cluj (2010), Polul Cultural Cluj (2009), Harriet Woolley gallery, Paris (2003)
A few of his works were also featured in the art auctions - 'Give me the future' 1 and 2 - organized by the Paintbrush Factory in 2012 and 2013 at the Granata Hotel, Cluj.
